Mercy Johnson in Dramatic Plea for Regina Daniels' Brother's Freedom!

Prominent Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson has publicly called for the immediate release of Samuel Ojeagwu, the brother of fellow actress Regina Daniels. Ojeagwu was reportedly arrested under the instruction of Senator Ned Nwoko, Regina Daniels' husband, a development that has raised significant concerns within the entertainment community and among the public.
Johnson voiced her profound worries regarding the circumstances surrounding Ojeagwu’s detention. She highlighted his prolonged confinement, stating that he has been held for over 48 hours without any access to visitors or family members. In a strong message posted on her Instagram stories, Johnson critically condemned what she labeled as “pretended justice,” questioning the legitimacy of Ojeagwu’s arrest. The arrest itself occurred amidst escalating tensions between Senator Nwoko and Regina Daniels.
Johnson's Instagram post reflected her outrage: “The worst form of injustice is pretended justice. A child was arrested, no one can or has been allowed to see him for 2 days, he was flown from Lagos to Abuja and is allegedly being taken to court from the airport…how did we get here? Nigeria…wow #whereissamuel #freesamuelojeagwu.” Reports further indicate that Samuel Ojeagwu, also known as “Sammy,” was detained without any clear charges being specified or official statements released to the public. This incident compounds existing public interest in the family’s affairs, especially as the high-profile marriage between Nwoko and Daniels is reportedly facing significant difficulties, with allegations of domestic violence and drug abuse surfacing.
