Luxury Reimagined: 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLS Flaunts Radical Interior Refresh and Tech Boost

The 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLS receives a major midcycle update, reinforcing its reputation as the “S-Class of SUVs.” Since its 2019 debut, the GLS has been celebrated for luxury, comfort, and space, and the upcoming refresh adds more power, smarter tech, and richer features.
The updated SUV was previewed on Spain’s Costa del Sol, flaunting a DARK PETROL exterior and MANUFAKTUR nappa leather truffle brown interior.
A centerpiece of the interior is the pillar-to-pillar glass panel integrating three 12.3-inch displays for the driver, infotainment, and front passenger.
This supersizes the MBUX Superscreen and introduces MB.OS, a cutting-edge software platform that centralizes infotainment, driver-assistance, and vehicle systems. MB.OS supports over-the-air updates and includes Microsoft-powered AI, learning user preferences over time.
All GLS models now feature the Superscreen as standard, offering access to an integrated app store with YouTube, Disney+, gaming apps, and productivity tools like Teams, with video playback safely available to front passengers.
The system operates like a smartphone, with custom app folders and a screen-dimming safety feature for driver attention.
Navigation upgrades include Google Maps integration and the MBUX Augmented Navigation Head-Up Display, projecting lane guidance, arrows, and key points of interest directly onto the windshield.
Rear-seat passengers also enjoy innovation, with dual 11.6-inch displays, individual remotes, adjustable seat functions, and massage options. This setup supports movie streaming or transforms into a mobile conference room, complete with integrated cameras for video calls.
The 2027 GLS update firmly positions Mercedes-Benz at the pinnacle of automotive luxury, technology, and comfort, delivering a smarter, more connected, and ultra-luxurious driving experience.
