Liberia Unveils Ambitious Landmark Tourism Hub in Robertsport
The Government of Liberia, in a significant collaborative effort with the European Union, officially inaugurated the construction of a Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Hospitality and Tourism Training Center. The groundbreaking ceremony took place on Tuesday, May 5, at the Tubman Cultural Center site in Robertsport, Grand Cape Mount County. This initiative marks a crucial stride in Liberia's nationwide agenda to expand skills development and unlock its substantial tourism potential.

Education Minister Jarso Mallay-Jallah, speaking at the event, highlighted the groundbreaking as a testament to the robust collaboration between the government, its development partners, and local leadership. She expressed gratitude to the European Union and, importantly, to the leadership of Grand Cape Mount County, emphasizing that their cooperation was fundamental to the project's realization. Minister Mallay-Jallah specifically lauded Grand Cape Mount County Senator Dabah M. Varpillah for her pivotal role in securing the necessary land for the training center, underscoring that clear land ownership is a critical prerequisite for attracting and securing development investments. She urged local authorities in other counties to expedite similar land acquisition processes, stressing that
