Kim Kardashian's Legal Rollercoaster: Bar Exam Failure and 2026 Resit Pledge

Kim Kardashian has publicly shared the news of her recent attempt at the California Bar Examination, revealing on Instagram that she unfortunately did not pass. Despite this setback, the reality television star and entrepreneur firmly stated her unwavering commitment to achieving her dream of becoming a lawyer. Kardashian emphasized her determination, reassuring her followers that she would not give up on her legal aspirations.
In her Instagram post, Kardashian indicated that she was very close to clearing the rigorous examination this time, having failed by what she described as "a whisker." She wrote, "I was so close to passing the exam, and that only motivates me even more." The California Bar Exam is recognized as a challenging two-day assessment administered by the State Bar of California, designed to evaluate a candidate’s readiness and competency to practice law within the state.
The 45-year-old SKIMS owner, who also portrays a divorce lawyer in Ryan Murphy’s production "All’s Fair," used a touch of humor in her announcement, stating, "Well… I’m not a lawyer yet, I just play a very well-dressed one on TV." She reiterated her resolve for the future, declaring, "I’m still all in until I pass the bar. No shortcuts, no giving up – just more studying and even more determination." Kardashian also extended her gratitude to her supporters, saying, "Thank you to everyone who has supported and encouraged me along the way so far." She took the specific test in July 2025. Her late father, Robert Kardashian Sr., was a prominent lawyer known for his role in the O.J. Simpson murder trial, a legacy that perhaps further fuels her legal ambitions.
