The apology was broadcast during Killer Mike’s appearance on Shannon Sharpe’s “Club Shay Shay” on Wednesday, October 1, where he attributed his remarks to being “misconstrued” and admitted to being under the influence of marijuana at the time.
“Steph Curry, Ayesha Curry — boy, my wife done cussed me out,” Mike confessed during the interview. He further revealed that both his oldest and youngest daughters, along with friends who played in the NBA, also contacted him regarding his comments. This widespread reaction prompted him to realize, “maybe I shouldn’t smoke and get on Instagram.” He then directly addressed the couple: “Mrs. Ayesha Curry and her husband Steph, I apologize for my statement being misconstrued.”
