Leonard twisted his left ankle with 9:27 remaining in the game and was forced to leave the court. The two-way star limped to the locker room and did not return for the rest of the contest.

The absence of Leonard is a big blow for the Clippers, as he has been one of the team's main offensive and defensive leaders throughout the season.

The veteran forward continues to play at an elite level on both ends of the floor.

In 53 games this season, Leonard is averages 28.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 2.0 steals per game.

He is also shooting 50.1 percent from the field and 37.8 percent from three-point range.

Los Angeles is currently fighting for playoff positioning in the NBA. The Clippers sit eighth in the Western Conference standings with a 34-33 record as the regular season enters its final stretch.

However, his injury has significant implications for his eligibility for end-of-season awards; he can now only miss two more games to meet the required threshold of 65 games played to qualify.

In related news for Monday's matchup, the San Antonio Spurs will also be facing the game without two of their players: Center Luke Kornet and Rookie Dylan Harper.
