JENNIE and Tame Impala Electrify Fans with 'Dracula' Remix Drop

This week marks a significant moment in the music industry with a cascade of major releases, prominently featuring a highly anticipated collaboration and a diverse array of new albums and singles. Headlining the releases is Tame Impala's "Dracula" which receives a fresh pair of fangs with an official remix featuring BLACKPINK's JENNIE, a collaboration that has generated considerable buzz among fans.
JENNIE, a global K-pop superstar, elevates the track by layering her distinctive vocals over several verses and the chorus. She also contributes a volley of new, impactful lyrics, including a rap verse that exclaims, "Hey, Kevin, what’s up?/ Come pull up in my spot / Let’s keep the night glowing, I don’t ever wanna stop / I’ll never leave this floor, got me needin’ more / Sky is turning blue, let it clear the smoke / Lip-stain on the rim, bass is ’bout to blow / Sinking in my teeth, I buy time." The collaboration, though seemingly unexpected, makes geographical sense, given JENNIE's New Zealand upbringing and Tame Impala frontman Kevin Parker's Australian homeland, making them "geographical cousins." Parker himself is a known admirer of JENNIE, having been spotted wearing her official merchandise at the 2026 Grammy Awards, where he also celebrated his second successive win in the Best Dance/Electronic Recording category for "End Of Summer." The "Dracula – JENNIE Remix" officially dropped on Tuesday, February 3rd, marking JENNIE's first solo release since her debut album, "Ruby," in March 2025, which debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200. "Dracula" is a track from Tame Impala's fifth studio album, "Deadbeat," released under Columbia, which debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and Official U.K. Albums Charts and No. 2 on the ARIA Chart. The original "Dracula" was a landmark hit for Tame Impala, marking their first Billboard Hot 100 entry in 2025, peaking at No. 30, and recently topping Billboard’s Alternative Airplay ranking for the week of February 7th.
Beyond this major collaboration, Billboard's Friday Music Guide highlights other essential releases dominating playlists this weekend. Nick Jonas kicks off 2026 with his fifth solo album, "Sunday Best," featuring the acoustic guitar-driven opening track "Sweet To Me." The album, previewed by the contemplative single "Gut Punch," delves into themes of honesty, growth, and rediscovery through his experiences as a husband and father, marking his first solo project since 2021's "Spaceman."
ZAYN also makes a grand return with new music, a new album titled "KONNAKOL" set for an April 17th release, and his largest solo tour to date, encompassing 31 cities globally starting May 12th. He offers a taste of the album with the R&B-pop lead single "Die For Me." Following suit, J. Cole revealed on February 4th via Instagram that his forthcoming album, "The Fall Off," will be a double album, potentially his last, intended to bring his career "full circle." The project is led by the single "Two Six," where J. Cole provocatively declares, "If I wasn’t rapping b—h I might just be the president."
Adding to the diverse slate of releases, sombr presents "Homewrecker" strategically after his Grammy nomination for Best New Artist and a performance of his hit "12 to 12." The single maintains his signature uptempo pop style, showcasing his continued role as sole writer and co-producer. Finally, alternative R&B artist Joji returns with his fourth album, "Piss in the Wind," his first release since parting ways with 88rising to launch his own label, Palace Creek. While much of the album is airy and experimental, the single "Hotel California" serves as a spiritual successor to his Hot 100 hit "Glimpse Of Us," featuring his delicate vocals narrating a story of lost love.
