Football Star's Tragic Setback: Mbokazi Ruled Out for Entire 2026 Season

Chicago Fire FC defender and Bafana Bafana centre-back, Mbekezeli Mbokazi, has been officially ruled out for the remainder of the 2026 MLS season due to a severe thigh injury. The injury, described as a thigh tear, will require surgery, as confirmed by Head coach, Gregg Berhalter.

Mbokazi, a 20-year-old talent, joined Chicago Fire FC from Orlando Pirates in December and quickly established himself as a pivotal player.
