Euphoria Season 3 Shakes Up Cast with 18 New Additions, Including Trisha Paytas and Natasha Lyonne

Season 3 of “Euphoria,” the acclaimed HBO high school drama created by Sam Levinson, is officially set to return in spring 2026 with eight new episodes. This highly anticipated season is significantly expanding its ensemble, adding a substantial number of new cast members and confirming the return of many beloved stars, while also introducing notable changes to its production crew and addressing character absences.
Among the recently announced additions to the cast are prominent figures such as Trisha Paytas, Natasha Lyonne, Danielle Deadwyler, and Eli Roth. Further bolstering the new lineup are Bella Podaras, Bill Bodner, Cailyn Rice, Colleen Camp, Gideon Adlon, Hemky Madera, Homer Gere, Jack Topalian, Jessica Blair Herman, Kwame Patterson, Madison Thompson, Matthew Willig, Rebecca Pidgeon, and Sam Trammell. These individuals join an already impressive list of previously announced newcomers for Season 3, which includes Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Toby Wallace, Sharon Stone, Rosalía, Marshawn Lynch, Darrell Britt-Gibson, Kadeem Hardison, Priscilla Delgado, James Landry Hébert, Anna Van Patten, and Asante Blackk. These extensive additions suggest a broadening of the show's narrative scope.
The core A-list stars who define “Euphoria” are confirmed to reprise their roles, featuring Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Eric Dane, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, Martha Kelly, Chloe Cherry, and Colman Domingo. Additionally, several key supporting characters are making a comeback, including Alanna Ubach as Suze, Daeg Faerch as Mitch, Melvin Bonez Estes as Bruce, Paula Marshall as Marsha, Sophia Rose Wilson as BB, and Zak Steiner as Aaron. Dominic Fike is also confirmed to return as Elliot, known for his drug use and guitar playing. Notably, Nika King, who portrays Rue’s mother Leslie, will appear in Season 3. Her inclusion follows earlier public discussion where she mentioned production delays impacting her finances, and her initial omission from HBO’s February cast list.
However, not all familiar faces will be part of the upcoming season. Austin Abrams and Algee Smith were not included in HBO’s recent cast list. Storm Reid, who plays Rue’s sister Gia, had previously confirmed in November that her character would not be featured in Season 3. Barbie Ferreira, who played Kat, made her exit from the series in August 2022. The series also faces the profound and tragic loss of Angus Cloud, who passed away in July 2023 at the age of 25. Cloud portrayed the beloved character Fezco in the first two seasons.
Beyond the cast, the production team for “Euphoria” Season 3 has also seen significant new talent join. Four-time Oscar-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood has come aboard as a co-producer, bringing her extensive expertise. Natasha Newman-Thomas joins as costume designer, and Francois Audouy has been named production designer. In the realm of music, the acclaimed Hans Zimmer will score episodes for the new season, while Labrinth, who was instrumental in spearheading the musical direction of the first two seasons, will also return.
Currently, Season 3 is in production in Los Angeles, though its path to production has included several delays.
