Greater Manchester Police (GMP) were initially called to a property on Bryngs Drive in Harwood, Bolton, on Wednesday, October 7, at approximately 11:35 am, following reports of a 'concern for welfare'. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man who had sadly died. The deceased has since been identified in court documents as Allan Lord.
On Friday, October 9, GMP confirmed that Allan Lord's son, Mark Lord, aged 63, had been charged with one count of murder. Mark Lord was remanded into custody and was due to appear at Manchester Magistrates' Court on the afternoon of Friday, October 9.
