Crimson Tide Star James Pearce Jr. Arrested After Multiple 911 Calls
In the weeks before Atlanta Falcons linebackerJames Pearce Jr. allegedly rammed his Lamborghini SUV into WNBA player Rickea Jackson's car in Doral, Florida.
At least seven 911 calls to police indicate heightened fears from his unidentified girlfriend that she was being stalked and harassed, and that she believed Pearce had tried to break into her residence.
Police on Jan. 13 told Pearce to stay away from the home of a woman described as his ex-girlfriend,according to police records obtained by ESPN.
The early-February ramming incident culminated in Pearce's arrest on felony battery and stalking charges.
Jackson's attorneys subsequently filed a court notice saying that she is "willing to testify" against Pearce if the domestic violence charges against him go to trial.
Police were called several times to the Doral home of Pearce’s girlfriend between November and the time of his arrest.
Although the callers’ names were removed from reports and no arrests were made during those visits, officers warned Pearce on January 13 to stay away from the property.
The situation began on November 24 when the woman reported that Pearce showed up at her home, repeatedly knocking on the door and calling her landline.
He insisted that she owed him $70,000, but she refused to open the door, and he left before the police arrived.
Just four hours later, in the early hours of November 25, the woman contacted police again, worried that Pearce might return.
Feeling unsafe, she eventually decided to leave her home for the night.
On Jan. 28, 2026, officers responded to a reported burglary in process, with the resident identifying Pearce as the perpetrator.
Jackson told officers she was fearful of Pearce after he’d damaged the door to her home trying to gain entry.
She chose to stay at a hotel to prevent the situation from getting worse. She also claimed that in a separate incident in Davie, Florida, some of her belongings were taken.
Police responded to another domestic disturbance call on Feb. 1, 2026, though redactions on the police report made it difficult to ascertain what actually happened here.
The pattern of alleged stalking continued into February.
On Feb. 2, police returned to the residence and were told by a security guard that Pearce had been “stalking” Jackson and had been seen near her residence on multiple occasions over the preceding days.
Just days later, after being in California as an NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year nominee, Pearce returned to Florida.
According to a police report from February 7, the situation quickly escalated into a dangerous encounter. Pearce was allegedly following Jackson’s car in a white Lamborghini SUV.
When they stopped at a red light, he reportedly tried to open the door of her vehicle.
Fearing for her safety, Jackson attempted to drive toward the Doral Police Department headquarters for help.
However, police say Pearce blocked her path with his SUV. When she tried to reverse and escape, he allegedly drove his car straight into hers in a head-on collision.
When officers arrived at the scene, they reportedly pointed a gun at Pearce, who was standing outside his vehicle.
Instead of surrendering, he allegedly jumped back into the SUV and sped off, triggering a police chase.
The pursuit ended when Pearce crashed at an intersection. He then tried to escape on foot but was quickly caught by officers. Police say he also resisted arrest during the confrontation.
Pearce was arrested on five felony charges, including aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, aggravated stalking, and aggravated battery of a law enforcement officer.
He was released from the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on $20,500 bond and with a stay-away order, which prohibits contact of any kind with Jackson.
Pearce's legal team stated after the arrest that he "maintains his innocence," while NFL spokesperson Brian McCarthy confirmed that Pearce's arrest would be reviewed "under the personal conduct policy."
