Country Icon Tim McGraw Heats Up NHL Stadium Series Stage!

Country music superstar Tim McGraw is set to make history by headlining the 2026 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series outdoor game next month at Raymond James Stadium. McGraw will deliver a performance during the first intermission on February 1, marking a significant milestone as it will be the first time an outdoor NHL game is played in a football stadium in the state of Florida. The stadium, a prominent sports venue, is also the home of the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers, two-time Super Bowl champions.
McGraw's connection to hockey is well-established, particularly with the Nashville Predators. The three-time Grammy Award-winning artist's 1995 single “I Like It, I Love It” is famously used during the Predators' goal celebrations. Both McGraw and his wife, Faith Hill, are frequently seen cheering from the stands at home games, and the Predators have previously honored the singer-songwriter with limited-edition bobbleheads for fans, highlighting his strong ties to the sport.
To accommodate the outdoor game in Florida's climate, the league has planned an innovative solution for the rink. A regulation-size rink will be constructed inside a specially designed steel-framed, air-conditioned tent to shield it from the elements. This substantial structure will measure 34 feet high, 125 feet wide, and 240 feet long. Following McGraw's performance on a stage positioned alongside the rink, the temporary structure will be dismantled before the teams commence play.
This marquee event, featuring McGraw, will bring a close to a month-long outdoor hockey celebration in the Sunshine State. The festivities began with the 2026 Discover NHL Winter Classic game, which was the inaugural outdoor hockey game ever held in Florida. For fans looking to attend, a limited number of tickets are reportedly available through Ticketmaster at NHL.com/events.
Live coverage of the event is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. ET. Viewers in the United States can watch on ESPN, while those in Canada can tune into Sportsnet and TVA Sports. Additionally, the game will be accessible via NHL in ASL, with streaming options on ESPN+ in the U.S. and Sportsnet+ in Canada, ensuring broad access for hockey enthusiasts.
