Burna Boy's Shocking Concert Ejection: Sleeping Fans Forced Out!

Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Damini Ogulu, widely known as Burna Boy, recently ignited a significant controversy during his concert in Denver, United States. The incident unfolded on Wednesday night when the artist paused his performance to address a couple in the audience, accusing them of sleeping during his set. Midway through his show, Burna Boy abruptly stopped, specifically calling out a male attendee whose girlfriend appeared to be dozing off.
Addressing the couple directly from the stage, Burna Boy sternly stated, “When I stand up here (on the stage) and see you over there with your girl sleeping in the front of me, it pisses me fk up. So, please, take her the fk home… Walahi, I’m not performing another song till you go home.” The female concertgoer initially showed reluctance to leave, but eventually, both she and her partner exited the venue after the crowd echoed Burna Boy’s demand. Following their departure, the singer resumed his performance to enthusiastic cheers from the audience.
This episode quickly generated a wave of mixed reactions across online platforms. Many fans condemned Burna Boy’s actions, characterizing them as disrespectful towards paying concertgoers who had come to enjoy his music. However, this is not an isolated incident for the 'African Giant'. Burna Boy has a history of drawing criticism for ejecting fans during his performances. Previous instances include removing a star-struck fan who rushed on stage for a hug and, on another occasion, sending a fan out for not actively dancing during his set.
Such repeated actions have solidified Burna Boy's reputation for controversial onstage outbursts. These events consistently spark debate among his fanbase and the wider public regarding his demeanor and attitude towards his audience at live shows, continually questioning the boundaries of artist-fan interaction during performances.
