Arsenal End 22-Year Wait to Win Premier League Title

Arsenal have been crowned Premier League champions for the first time in 22 years, ending a long wait after Manchester City failed to secure victory against Bournemouth. City needed a win to keep the title race alive, but Junior Kroupi’s goal and a late equaliser from Erling Haaland were not enough to overturn Arsenal’s advantage. The result confirmed Arsenal’s return to the top of English football.

Celebrations erupted among Arsenal fans after confirmation of the title, with more expected as the team prepares for their final match against Crystal Palace. Declan Rice marked the achievement with a celebratory social media post, reflecting the emotion around the club’s first league triumph since the 2003–04 “Invincibles” season.

The victory secures Arsenal’s 14th English league title, placing them behind only Manchester United and Liverpool in all-time wins.

Manager Mikel Arteta has now led Arsenal to a historic breakthrough after years of near misses, including multiple second-place finishes behind Manchester City. The team’s success was built on a strong defensive record, with the fewest goals conceded in the league, numerous clean sheets, and a dominant set-piece record.

Arteta’s structured approach finally delivered silverware, marking the first time since 2017 that a club outside City or Liverpool has won the Premier League.
