Speaking to journalists after a meeting with President Bola Tinubu in Lagos, Yilwatda said the scale of participation reflects the APC’s growing influence and acceptance nationwide. He explained that the imbalance between available positions and the volume of contenders demonstrates what he called “unprecedented demand” for party tickets, adding that it signals the APC’s deep penetration across all segments of Nigerian society.

He also commended party members for conducting themselves responsibly during the ongoing exercises, describing the process as largely orderly despite its intensity.
