Zvezda adds Stefan Miljenovic, brings back Uros Plavsic
Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade is continuing to retool its roster for the next EuroLeague campaign, signing guard Stefan Miljenovic and bringing back center Uros Plavsic to the Serbian capital.
Miljenovic (1.93 meters, 23 years old) arrives from fellow Serbian side Mega Superbet Belgrade, where he spent the last two years. Last season, Miljenovic averaged 10.3 points, 2.6 assists and 2.3 rebounds in the ABA League. A season earlier, he posted 12.2 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.0 assists.
A native of Canada, Miljenovic started his pro career with Leotar in Bosnia and Herzegovina and also played for Belgrade clubs Slodes and OKK before joining Mega in 2023. He is now set to make his EuroLeague debut.
Plavsic (2.17 meters, 26 years old) returns to the club after spending the second part of last season on loan with Besiktas Fibabanka Istanbul. Plavsic joined Zvezda last summer, also from Mega, and made 10 EuroLeague appearances, averaging 5.2 points, 2.7 rebounds in just over 11 minutes per game. With Besiktas, he posted 8.3 points and 4.4 rebounds in six BKT EuroCup games, while he amassed 6.1 points and 4.2 rebounds in 29 Turkish League appearances, helping Besiktas reach the Finals.
Plavsic came through at Mega and was promoted to the club's first team in the 2015-16 campaign, before getting his feet wet in professional basketball as a teenager the following season with Smederevo in the Serbian League. He then moved to the USA, where he spent four seasons playing NCAA basketball at the University of Tennessee. He returned to Mega in 2023.
Plavsic is a member of the Serbian national team and won the bronze medal at the 2024 Olympic Games.
