Zimbabwe's Chivayo in Shocking $3.6M Parliament Pledge Reversal

Controversial businessman Wicknel Chivayo has officially withdrawn his highly debated US$3.6 million pledge initially directed to Parliament. In its place, he has announced a revised and increased commitment of US$5 million, which will now be channelled towards grassroots development projects across Zimbabwe. The original pledge had generated considerable discussion and mixed reactions among political figures and the ruling ZANU-PF youth league, raising questions regarding its intentions and the appropriate channels for such donations.
