Zara Larsson Expands 'Midnight Sun' Tour Down Under, NZ Fans Rejoice!

Zara Larsson's highly anticipated 2026 Midnight Sun Tour in Australasia has undergone a significant expansion, with the Swedish pop sensation upgrading several key Australian dates to larger arena venues and adding a new show in New Zealand, all due to overwhelming demand. Promoter Live Nation confirmed these changes on Monday, February 16, following the rapid sell-out of every initial Australian date, including multiple added shows.
Three major Australian markets will see their Zara Larsson concerts relocate to bigger arenas while retaining their original dates. In Perth, the October 20 show is moving from Perth HPC to the more spacious RAC Arena. Melbourne's October 22 date will shift from Margaret Court Arena to the iconic Rod Laver Arena. Sydney's October 23 concert is being relocated from the Hordern Pavilion to the Qudos Bank Arena. All three of these Australian markets had previously sold out their initial venue capacities, prompting the upgrades. Existing ticket holders for these upgraded shows will be contacted directly by Ticketek with details regarding their updated tickets for the new arena layouts.
In addition to the Australian venue upgrades, Zara Larsson has announced a brand new show at Spark Arena in Auckland on October 25. This marks a significant milestone for the artist, as it will be her first-ever performance in New Zealand, further expanding the tour's reach across the region. Tickets for this newly added Auckland date, along with the upgraded Australian arena shows, are scheduled to go on sale Wednesday, February 18, at 1 p.m. local time.
The expanded tour itinerary builds upon an already successful initial wave of performances, which saw sold-out shows across Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide. The previously announced Brisbane Riverstage dates on October 13 and 14, Sydney’s October 15 show at Hordern Pavilion, Melbourne’s October 17 show at Margaret Court Arena, and Adelaide’s October 18 date at Entertainment Centre Arena had all sold out quickly, underscoring the high demand for Larsson's live performances.
The Midnight Sun Tour represents Zara Larsson's debut headline tour of the Australasian region at this impressive scale, highlighting her sustained global momentum nearly a decade after her breakthrough hits like “Lush Life” and “Never Forget You.” These arena upgrades signify a notable progression in market size for the singer in Australia, where she had previously performed primarily on festival bills or as a support act. The Australian and New Zealand dates are integral components of the broader global rollout of the Midnight Sun Tour.
The updated routing for Zara Larsson’s Midnight Sun Tour in Australia and New Zealand for 2026 is as follows:
- Oct. 13 — Riverstage, Brisbane (Sold Out)
