XRP ETF Boom: Franklin's Offering Attracts Fresh $3.5 Million Investment Wave

Franklin Templeton's XRP exchange-traded fund (ETF), known as XRPZ, has demonstrated sustained investor interest by recording another significant round of fresh demand. The fund attracted approximately $3.5 million in net inflows on a recent day, notably standing as the only XRP fund to experience positive flows, according to the latest fund-flow data. More precisely, separate data from SoSoValue reported XRPZ's net inflow on September 16 at $3.5013 million. This recent influx has contributed to an impressive cumulative total of roughly $483 million in net inflows for the fund since its inception.

An analysis of fund-flow data for preceding sessions further illustrates the robust demand for XRP ETFs, with Franklin's product often leading the way. CoinGlass data indicates that XRP ETFs collectively recorded $2.73 million in net inflows on September 13, with the entirety of this amount attributed exclusively to Franklin’s XRPZ. While September 15 saw no net flows recorded, September 12 witnessed a substantial $8.40 million in total inflows across various XRP ETFs. On September 11, there were neither net inflows nor outflows. Franklin once again accounted for all of the $3.69 million in net inflows recorded on September 10. One of the strongest recent sessions occurred on September 9, when XRP ETFs attracted approximately $8.67 million in total, including $6.57 million flowing into Bitwise’s product and an additional $2.11 million directed towards Grayscale’s XRP fund. Throughout September, Franklin Templeton has consistently emerged as a primary source of fresh demand for XRP ETFs.

These consistent ETF inflows are particularly noteworthy given they have transpired against the backdrop of a dramatic selloff in XRP's price. The cryptocurrency experienced a sharp plunge after the U.S. Senate failed to advance the CLARITY Act on September 15. As reported by U.Today, the procedural motion fell short of the requisite 60 votes needed to move the legislation forward. This development delivered a significant setback to the broader cryptocurrency industry and consequently triggered widespread risk-off selling across various digital assets.

Historical data from CoinGecko vividly illustrates XRP's recent price trajectory. On September 14, XRP was trading at approximately $1.42 before experiencing a decline to around $1.28 by September 15, marking an approximate 10% reduction in its value. Following this downturn, XRP managed a modest recovery, stabilizing around $1.30. At the most recent reading provided by CoinGecko, XRP was observed changing hands near $1.30, operating within a 24-hour range of approximately $1.25 to $1.31. Despite this slight recovery, the token remained down about 6.7% over the previous seven days and a more substantial 30.1% over the past month, underscoring the volatility and market sensitivity of the asset.
