Cade recruits the help of his old friend, a blind weapons expert and marksman named Gunny Lefferty (). As Cade gets closer to finding Jenny, he discovers a network of corruption that has police and government officials involved in the racket. Despite his best efforts to return the penguin to the wild, the bird simply refuses to leave his side. Eventually, he brings the penguin to school with him to get his students to pay attention, bribing them with the chance to feed the penguin its lunch if they behave. Of course, this is not well-received by the headmaster of the school (), but the ensuing story of will live on for a lifetime.
After a car accident that resulted in her husband’s death, Ramona () continues to raise their two children at their remote farmhouse. Still recovering from her own injuries, she relies on crutches to get around the home, and her eldest child to help out with chores like cooking and cleaning. One day, they look outside to see a mysterious woman shrouded in all black sitting on their property. When Ramona confronts the woman, she responds by mysteriously saying, “Today’s the day.” The family soon realize that The Woman In The Yard is a supernatural entity, hellbent on tormenting them until she gets them in her shadowy grasp.
