'A Quiet Place: Day One' Director Set To Direct And Write The 'Death Stranding' Live Action Adaptation - mxdwn Movies
The first Death Stranding launched on November 8, 2019, via PlayStation 4 and reached over 19 million players globally. Players take on the role of Sam Porter Bridges, a person assigned to reconnect a split United States to rebuild “hope” and re-establish “connection among the last remnants of humanity.” The game is also known for its all-star ensemble, including Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, Léa Seydoux, and Margaret Qualley. The sequel will also see the return of Reedus and Seydoux, along with Troy Baker, and actors Luca Marinelli and Elle Fanning will join the ensemble.
Sarnoski’s first directed feature, Pig, came out back in 2021 and gave Nicolas Cage his most critically acclaimed performance of the last decade. Since then Sarnoski directed the A Quiet Place prequel, A Quiet Place: Day One, which grossed approximately $250 million worldwide. His next film, Death of Robin Hood, began principal photography in early February and has a cast made up of Hugh Jackman, Jodie Comer, Bill Skarsgård, Murray Bartlett, and Noah Jupe.
