The companies, last Wednesday, July 9, entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that would enable them to work more closely to mutually enhance their various activities as well as general development of tourism products in Ghana.
Mr Stephen Ofori, General Manager of Volta Hotel and Dodi World, signed on behalf of his outfit while Mr Joe Osae, CEO of Ceejay Multimedia, signed for his company.
Ceejay Multimedia produces Miss Akwaaba, a 13-week reality television show which promotes Ghanaian culture and tourism through female delegates drawn from different parts of the country.
The company also produces The Next Gospel Star, a project aimed at discovering and honing the talents of young aspiring gospel musicians in Ghana.
Under the MOU, Volta Hotel and Dodi World will, among other things, twice host the contestants and organisers of Miss Akwaaba and The Next Gospel Star for a weekend: first during the semi-final week and then at the end of the show as part of the prize package for the winner and the runners-up.
Ceejay Multimedia will also highlight the operations of Volta Hotel and Dodi World on all of its platforms and the television channels of its partners.
The Ceejay Multimedia CEO thanked the management of Volta Hotel and Dodi World for agreeing to officially solidify the long-standing partnership between the two organisations.
He described time at Volta Hotel & Dodi World as delightful learning moments for the contestants.
He urged other organisations genuinely interested in promoting Ghana’s culture and tourism to come on board to help showcase Ghana, the great places and traditions we have in our country.
“It is through such partnerships that the appropriate synergy is built for economic growth and proper exploration of cultural experiences,” Mr Osae stated at the signing ceremony.
The Volta Hotel and Dodi World’s General Manager also said they were proud to be a unique destination and would continue, together with Ceejay Multimedia, to do their best to uphold Ghana’s wonderful cultural heritage.
Apart from the package offered by Volta Hotel & Dodi World to the top three finalists of the two shows, the ultimate winners drive home a car and receive GH¢10,000 each. Second-placed contestants get GH¢7,000 each while the third-placed go away with GH¢5,000 each.
