Both head coaches shared their perspectives on the game’s outcome.

It was a complete game. We were aggressive from the beginning to the end against an excellent opponent like Milan. They are an excellent team, today they did not play well, but sometimes it happens, it happened to us also in Belgrade. We have to reset Ota and continue to improve day after day, to win the next games playing better than tonight.
Dusko Ivanovic, Virtus Segafredo Bologna Head Coach

It was obviously a very difficult game for us. We struggled a lot from the first quarter in front of their physicality and their pressure. The game was already decided in that quarter where we could play much better and instead we were very mediocre also as an attitude. Then later he was injured Shields and the game ended, at that point I sent who I had in the field. Shields has injured himself to the adductors, if it goes well he will be outside at least a month. It was a European season of ups and downs, we won many lovely games and we have thrown many others away, we have certainly never played complete. We had a good time a few months ago what Leday and Mirotic were deployed under the basket, but we cannot always play like this, the opponents obviously then take the countermeasures.
Ettore Messina, Olimpia Milan head Coach
