US Open Horror Show: Sex Bugs, Screaming Stars, & Nightmare Draws Plague Tennis Grand Slam

The U.S. Open is set to commence amidst a flurry of anticipation, challenges, and some rather unusual occurrences, from British tennis stars facing tough draws and unexpected exits, to a literal invasion of insects, and even a player's blood-curdling shriek resonating through the courts. British hopes, including Emma Raducanu and Jack Draper, are preparing for their singles campaigns next week, vying for the record $5 million champions’ pot.

They quickly dispatched high-profile teams like Emma Raducanu and Carlos Alcaraz, and Daniil Medvedev and Mirra Andreeva. However, their journey ended in a dramatic semi-final loss to Iga Swiatek and Casper Ruud. Despite taking the first set, they ultimately fell 5-3, 3-5, 8-10 in a match tiebreak after losing a significant 8-4 lead. The match was not without its tension, particularly around Draper's earlier comment in a press conference describing the revamped mixed doubles event as
