The United States government has made a significant donation to the Mozambican state, providing crucial protective equipment designed to combat chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) threats. This handover ceremony took place in Maputo, where Abigail Dressel, the Chargé d'Affaires at the US Embassy, presented the equipment to Victor Canhemba Júnior, the Permanent Secretary of the Interior Ministry.

During the ceremony, Canhemba Júnior emphasized that this gesture transcends a mere delivery of material resources. Instead, he highlighted its profound symbolism as a reinforcement of a strategic partnership, firmly rooted in mutual trust and a shared commitment to safeguarding human life and the environment.
