The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced the 2025 Hajj fare for intending pilgrims, with prices ranging between N8.3 million and N8.7 million, depending on the pilgrims’ location.

In a statement issued by the commission’s Assistant Director of Information and Publication, Hajiya Fatima Usara, NAHCON’s Executive Chairman, Professor Abdullahi Usman, confirmed the fares on Monday in Abuja. According to him, pilgrims from the Southern states will pay N8.7 million, while those from Borno and Adamawa Zone will pay N8.3 million.

Intending pilgrims from the Northern zone, including states outside Borno and Adamawa, will pay N8.4 million for the spiritual exercise in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Professor Usman  described the fare as the outcome of comprehensive deliberations with all relevant stakeholders.

The NAHCON chairman appreciated the presidency and the Forum of Executive Secretaries of State Pilgrims Welfare Boards, Agencies, and Commissions for their collaboration in achieving what he described as “reasonable” pricing. He emphasized that the process was guided by a commitment to maintaining fairness and affordability for the faithful.

“The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), under the leadership of its Chairman, Prof. Abdullahi Usman, is pleased to announce the hajj fare for the 2025 season,” Usman said.

He noted that the fares were approved by the Office of the Vice President after thorough reviews.

The statement said the Southern states’ fare is set at N8.78 million, the Northern Zone’s fare at N8.46 million, and Borno and Adamawa Zone at N8.33 million. This modest adjustment, Usman said, was achieved through extensive consultations with stakeholders, including representatives from the presidency.
