The Super Falcons of Nigeria have etched their name in history, clinching a record-extending 10th Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title. This monumental achievement, dubbed “Mission X,” came after a thrilling 3-2 comeback victory against host nation Morocco in the final held at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat. The win ignited nationwide celebrations and drew commendations from various prominent figures.

Okoronkwo's brilliance continued as she found Jennifer Echegini in the 88th minute for the winning goal. During the tense final, Moroccan fans controversially used laser lights to distract Nigerian players, notably targeting Okoronkwo. Post-match, confident defender Michelle Alozie humorously trolled the Moroccan supporters, posting a video with Okoronkwo and the cheeky caption: “Their lasers didn’t work.” Legendary striker Asisat Oshoala, who was introduced later in the game, credited teammates Oluwatosin Demehin and Deborah Abiodun for their significant roles in the victory.
The Super Falcons' triumph was met with widespread acclaim. Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu swiftly congratulated the team, stating that the win was a
