Unleashed: Lamborghini Fenomeno Shatters Records as Most Powerful V-12 Beast!

Lamborghini has unveiled its latest 'few-off' masterpiece, the Fenomeno, a limited-run supercar designed to be the fastest and most powerful road car the company has ever produced. Named after a legendary Mexican fighting bull, the Fenomeno continues Lamborghini's tradition of creating bespoke vehicles for its most ardent collectors, often debuting new technologies and pushing performance boundaries. This new hypercar, which debuted at The Quail during Monterey Car Week, is built upon the foundation of the Revuelto plug-in hybrid supercar but features significant enhancements.
The heart of the Fenomeno is a juiced-up version of the Revuelto's 6.5-liter V12 engine, now tuned to produce 823 horsepower at 9,250 rpm, a 9-horsepower increase over the standard setup. This internal combustion engine is complemented by a sophisticated hybrid system comprising three electric motors, two driving the front axle and one integrated with the transaxle. These electric motors collectively generate an additional 242 horsepower, a 50bhp increase compared to the Revuelto's hybrid system. The combined total system output is a staggering 1,065 horsepower. This power boost is facilitated by a new 7kWh battery, which, despite being the same physical size as the Revuelto's, offers double the capacity, providing more power in reserve for the electric motors.
The Fenomeno's performance figures are equally astounding. It boasts a claimed 0-62mph (0-100km/h) time of just 2.4 seconds when equipped with optional sticky track-day tires, and can accelerate from 0-124mph in a mere 6.7 seconds. Its top speed exceeds 217mph (350 km/h). To ensure these extreme power figures translate into exceptional dynamics, Lamborghini engineers meticulously optimized the car's weight. The Fenomeno achieves a remarkable power-to-weight ratio, at just under 5.4 lb/hp, matching the Revuelto's 1,770kg dry weight thanks to an entirely new carbon fiber bodywork that offsets the heavier battery.
Visually, the Fenomeno is a dramatic departure from the Revuelto, serving as a 'design manifesto' for Lamborghini. Only the Revuelto's glass remains, with everything else being re-sculpted. The Fenomeno is wider and lengthier, featuring a pronounced longtail rear. Aerodynamic efficiency is paramount; an S-duct funnels air through the bonnet to generate downforce, while an active rear wing with three positions helps produce 30 percent more downforce than a Revuelto. All Countach-inspired intakes, ducts, and vents are functional, crucial for cooling the upgraded battery. The menacing hooded headlights replace the Revuelto’s spidery LED running lights, and vertical tail lights are a unique touch. The design also makes skilled use of a two-tone color scheme, with sculpted elements in yellow and aerodynamically functional components in black.
Inside, the Fenomeno retains elements of the Revuelto's cabin but introduces a more 'alien' aesthetic, according to Centro Stile director Mitja Borkert. New carbon fiber door cards hint at the lightweight brief, while the dashboard takes on a distinct look, complemented by 'alien eye' ambient lighting, unique 3D printed vents, and specially designed monoshell racing seats. Customers have extensive customization options for both interior and exterior through Lamborghini’s Ad Personam bespoke-build program.
Beyond its raw power and striking design, the Fenomeno introduces advanced technological features. It is the first street-legal Lamborghini to incorporate CCM-R brakes, next-generation carbon-ceramic discs derived from the company's racing experience, offering enhanced durability and friction. In a nod to an old-school driving experience, Lamborghini has replaced the Revuelto’s adaptive dampers with manually adjustable suspension. This decision saves weight and allows owners to fine-tune the car's setup for track performance or personalized on-road settings, embodying a simpler, more engaging drive.
Exclusivity is a hallmark of the Fenomeno. Lamborghini plans to build only 30 copies worldwide, with 29 allocated to customers and one destined for the factory's museum. Despite an estimated starting price of $3.5 million, a significant premium over the Revuelto’s approximately $610,000, all units were reportedly sold out before public unveiling. The Fenomeno is poised to be another iconic 'bedroom poster car,' prioritizing a phenomenal sound and spectacular visual presence.
