Two stuck in lift rescued after 2 hrs
Lucknow: Two persons were rescued early Tuesday morning after getting trapped inside an elevator at Prem Plaza, located behind Jawahar Bhawan in Hazratganj, for over 2 hours.According to officials at the Fire Station Hazratganj, the control room received an emergency alert around 5am regarding people stuck in the lift.
Acting swiftly, fire station officer Ram Kumar Rawat and his team rushed to the spot with a mobile disaster response vehicle."Upon reaching the site, the team found two sanitary workers trapped inside the elevator since 2.30am. The fire personnel successfully rescued them without injury," said Rawat. The cause of the elevator malfunction is yet to be confirmed. An inspection of the lift system is expected to take place soon. TNN
