Tripura CM Manik Saha Inaugurates Cancer Care Facility at ILS Hospital Agartala

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Friday, June 14, inaugurated a significant healthcare facility, the Cancer Care Facility at ILS Hospital in Agartala. This new facility features advanced radiotherapy services for cancer treatment, established in collaboration with the International Oncology Care Institute (IOCI). The Chief Minister shared this development on X, highlighting the state's commitment to enhancing medical infrastructure.
Beyond healthcare, Chief Minister Saha has emphasized the state government's broader commitment to comprehensive development across Tripura. Speaking on June 12, he stated that efforts are underway to develop every part of the state, from Gram Panchayats to cities, with a strong focus on strengthening citizen-friendly infrastructure. He underscored that infrastructure development is a top priority, aimed at improving the financial well-being of people, particularly in rural areas.
As part of this development drive, CM Saha inaugurated several key projects. These included the Baijalbari Police Station and a new building for the 50-seat ST Boys' Hostel. Additionally, he virtually launched a total of twelve different projects, with six at Baijalbari H.S. School Ground under Khowai District and six more projects virtually from the same location.
The Chief Minister also spoke on the social fabric of Tripura, describing it as a state of mixed culture where peace has been successfully established in recent years, ensuring smooth functioning. He expressed his belief that continued unity will pave the way for 'Ek Tripura, Srestha Tripura' (One Tripura, Best Tripura), stressing that peace and harmony are indispensable for any progress. He contrasted the current rapid pace of development with a past era marked by a lack of development, attributing the progress to the current administration.
Connecting state-level initiatives with national aspirations, CM Saha noted India's rise to the fourth position globally in terms of economy. He aligned Tripura's development goals with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of 'Viksit Bharat' by 2047, highlighting the Prime Minister's consistent focus on the welfare of the poor.
The state government, under his leadership, has given special priority to the development of critical sectors such as education, health, agriculture, and communication systems. Furthermore, significant emphasis has been placed on the overall development of tribal communities. Promoting self-reliance is another key agenda, evidenced by a substantial increase in the number of self-help groups across the state. Socio-economic development is being driven by optimally utilizing Tripura's rich indigenous resources, including bamboo, agar, rubber, natural gas, and various agricultural products.
