Traffic alert: Eastbound SR-52 to undergo weekend work
SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Construction will occur this weekend on all lanes of eastbound State Route 52 from Interstate 805 to State Route 163.
The roadwork is set for Friday, Jan. 31 through Monday, Feb. 3, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., Caltrans said in a news release Monday.
Motorists will be able to take a detour on southbound I-805 to the eastbound Interstate 8 connector ramp and continue on I-8 to northbound Interstate 15 to the SR-52 eastbound and westbound connector ramps.

Another route motorists can take is on southbound I-805 to the southbound State Route 163 connector ramp to the Genesee Avenue off-ramp and turn left to the northbound SR-163 on-ramp to the SR-52 eastbound and westbound connector ramps.
Caltrans is advising residents and business owners in the area that they should anticipate construction noise and lighting during the closure.
Weather, traffic incidents or other construction considerations may impact the work schedule.
