Freya Allan was thrown into the spotlight for her role as Ciri in Netflix’s The Witcher, an adaptation of the story by Andrzej Sapkowski, which inspired video games of the same name. Allan also starred in last year's Planet of the Apes reboot, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.

Allan is one of the big up-and-comers of the last few years and was previously listed among 2024's "Hollywood Rising" stars by Elle alongside Sophie Thatcher (Companion), Ella Purnell (Fallout), and Anna Sawai (Shogun). Allan's next big role is slated to be that of late English singer and actress Marianne Faithfull. She will be playing Faithfull, per Variety.

Aside from Freya Allan being cast in the lead, what is known about the biopic is very little. The director will be the Finnish-born Zaida Bergroth, who was submitted for Best International Film Oscar in 2021. The film will be titled Faithfull and tell the story of Marianne’s life both as a singer and someone who struggled in her private life.

Marianne’s biopic will also explore her relationship with The Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger. In the film, Jagger will be played by Jojo Macari, known for his portrayal of Domitian Flavianus in Those About to Die in the Prime Video historical fiction. The synopsis of the film reads as follows:

Faithfull will be co-written by Julia Taylor-Stanley as well as director Bergroth and produced by Artemis Films.

It’s unclear exactly when Faithfull will start shooting. There is currently no slated release for the movie. And with Allan’s busy schedule with her role on Netflix’s The Witcher and potential future Planet of the Apes movies, it may not be for a little while for filmgoers to see the film.
