2026 ACM Awards: Ella Langley Dominates as Shania Twain Hosts Emotional Vegas Night

The 2026 Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards returned to Las Vegas on May 17, taking place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena after three years in Texas. Country star Shania Twain hosted the ceremony for the first time, taking over from Reba McEntire and bringing a new energy to the annual celebration. The event delivered a mix of major wins, emotional tributes, and standout performances.

Ella Langley emerged as the night’s biggest winner, going seven-for-seven and sweeping every category she was nominated in. She won Female Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Single of the Year for “Choosin’ Texas,” and Music Event of the Year, among others.

Langley also delivered a stripped-down performance of “Be Her,” highlighting her growing dominance in country music and her emotional connection to the industry.

The ceremony also featured powerful tributes, including Blake Shelton’s performance of “The Gambler” in honor of songwriter Don Schlitz, who passed away earlier this year. The ACM Lifting Lives segment honored the late Ben Vaughn and highlighted mental health awareness, followed by a moving performance from Dan + Shay.

Other major winners included Cody Johnson as Entertainer and Male Artist of the Year, with additional awards going to Brooks & Dunn, The Red Clay Strays, and Parker McCollum.
