Tamayo stars anew as Sakers move one win away from KBL title
CARL Tamayo is just one win away from getting to call himself a champion yet again.
Changwon LG Sakers continued to have the number of Seoul SK Knights, taking a dominant 80-63 Game Three victory on Friday at Changwon Gymnasium to move to the cusp of claiming the Korean Basketball League (KBL) crown.

Tamayo fired 18 points on 3-of-8 shooting from deep, to go with six rebounds and one steal, as Changwon took a commanding 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.
Assem Marei led the Sakers with a double-double of 20 points, 16 boards, and four dimes, as Yang Jun-seok scored 14 points on 2-of-5 clip from distance, on top of eight assists, four rebounds, and two steals.
Juan Gomez de Liaño was checked this time, as he was limited to just two points, two steals, a rebound, and an assist in 15 minutes of action for top-seeded Seoul.
Jameel Warney topped the Knights in the losing cause with 18 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists.
Tamayo and the rest of the Sakers can complete the Finals sweep at home with Game Four set on Sunday.
