The Rivers State Police Command has declared two suspects wanted for their alleged involvement in a violent attack on the Sole Administrator of Ahoada-East Local Council Area, Goodluck Iheanachor.

According to a statement signed by the Command’s spokesperson, Grace Iringe-Koko, the suspects, identified as Chief Security Officer (CSO), Mr Hector Ekakita, and the Chief of Staff (COS), Mr Aloni Olodi, both of Ahoada-East Council, have been accused of criminal conspiracy, stealing, assault and attempted murder.

The attack, which occurred on June 20, 2025, at the Council Secretariat in Ahoada East, allegedly involved a gang of about 30 persons who assaulted Iheanachor, inflicting bodily harm on him.

Iringe-Koko noted that during the attack, the administrator’s mobile phones and vital documents were stolen, and was forced to sign a document under duress. He emphasised that the suspects also allegedly carted away with personal and official properties from his office.

She said: “Despite being invited to report to the Police state headquarters for questioning, the suspects failed to honour the directive.
“Consequently, Commissioner of Police, Rivers State, CP Olugbenga A. Adepoju, has declared them wanted.”

She added that the police commissioner warned that anyone found aiding, hiding, or assisting the wanted individuals would face the full weight of the law.

She said: “The Rivers State Police Command remains committed to ensuring public peace and safety, and justice for the victim. Individuals with credible information on the whereabouts of the suspects are urged to contact the Police State Headquarters, Moscow Road, Port Harcourt, or call the Command Control Room and Complaint Response Unit at the specified numbers.”

Iringe-Koko emphasised the police’s determination to bring the perpetrators to justice, stating that the declaration of the suspects as wanted is a clear indication of the Command’s resolve to uphold the law and protect the citizens of Rivers State.
