Despite the good numbers, the film fell far short of the predicted Rs 40 crore weekend. According to reports, the movie was expected to dethrone Scarlett Johansson's Jurassic World Rebirth and Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible to earn the title of the highest-earning Hollywood release at the Indian box office. While Superman is putting up a respectable performance, it continues to face tough competition from Jurassic World Rebirth, which is stomping its way to the Rs 80 crore mark.
