Strictly Star Ross King Ignites Scotland Return Rumors

Ross King, ITV's renowned US showbiz correspondent for over 25 years, has suggested a potential return to his native Scotland. Currently based in the UK for the latest series of Strictly Come Dancing, King had relocated from Glasgow to Los Angeles decades ago. During a guest appearance on the 'How To Be 60 with Kaye Adams' podcast, the question of whether he plans to spend his remaining years in LA prompted a cryptic 'Who knows?', indicating a possible move back to Scotland.

King expressed profound affection for his birthplace, stating, "I come back now and then I go to Glasgow, which will always be proper home, and real home. It's great." He also reminisced about a recent holiday in Scotland, sharing that a trip to the Highlands brought back cherished memories and made him feel "embarrassed" for not fully appreciating its beauty sooner. Despite these hints of a potential return, Ross's immediate focus remains on the UK, where he aims to win the coveted Glitterball trophy on Strictly Come Dancing.

His debut on Strictly Come Dancing occurred last weekend, where celebrities were paired with their professional dance partners, setting the stage for the first head-to-head competition scheduled for Saturday, September 27. King joins a notable list of Good Morning Britain stars who have previously competed on the Strictly dance floor, including Charlotte Hawkins, Ranvir Singh, Ed Balls, and Kate Garraway. Among them, GMB host Susanna Reid achieved significant success, reaching the final with her partner Kevin Clifton before ultimately losing the Glitterball trophy.

Before his Strictly debut, Ross King was already a well-established figure due to his more than two decades on ITV's Good Morning Britain and Lorraine. Throughout his extensive career, he has interviewed an array of high-profile personalities, ranging from A-list celebrities such as Gerard Butler, Celine Dion, and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, to former presidents like Bill Clinton, cementing his status as a respected broadcaster.
