Good Morning America co-anchor Robin Roberts confirmed Nicks's involvement during Saturday's broadcast, noting that Swift had also participated in a soundcheck with Nicks earlier that day at Madison Square Garden. The two artists share a long-standing friendship, having previously performed together at the 2010 Grammy Awards. Nicks also contributed a poem titled "For T — and me" to physical editions of Swift's album, The Tortured Poets Department, and Swift referenced Nicks in her 2024 album's closing track, "Clara Bow." Nicks had previously praised the couple, stating, "She’s in a good place right now, and I think she has a good man."

Actor-comedian Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony, adding a humorous yet heartfelt touch by performing an original song celebrating the couple's love.
