Star-Studded Lineup: Gwyneth Paltrow, Jenna Ortega Join Actor Awards Presenters as Stunt Nominees Revealed

The 32nd Annual Actor Awards, presented by SAG-AFTRA, is scheduled to stream live globally on Netflix on March 1. The main ceremony, hosted by award-winning actress and producer Kristen Bell, will commence at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT from the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles. Prior to the main event, Paige DeSorbo and Scott Evans will host the official pre-show, dubbed “The Actor’s Red Carpet,” streaming live on Netflix at 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT, where the stunt ensemble winners will be revealed. Acclaimed chef Evan Funke will serve as executive chef for the first time at the event.

A star-studded lineup of presenters is expected, including Gwyneth Paltrow, Jenna Ortega, Delroy Lindo, Odessa A’zion, Viola Davis, Andy Garcia, and SAG-AFTRA president Sean Astin.

In film, Paul Thomas Anderson’s action epic “One Battle After Another” leads the nominations with a record-breaking seven bids, the most in the ceremony’s history. This Warner Bros. release earned nominations for cast ensemble, stunt ensemble, and five individual acting honors for Leonardo DiCaprio, Chase Infiniti, Benicio Del Toro, Sean Penn, and Teyana Taylor. Ryan Coogler’s “Sinners” secured five nominations, tying it for the second-most nominations in SAG history. These two films will compete for the coveted ensemble prize against the casts of Guillermo del Toro’s gothic drama “Frankenstein,” Chloé Zhao’s grief-centered “Hamnet,” and Josh Safdie’s dark comedy “Marty Supreme.”

On the television front, Apple’s “The Studio” leads with five nominations, including cast ensemble and acting bids for Seth Rogen, Ike Barinholtz, Kathryn Hahn, and the late Catherine O’Hara. While the final season of Netflix’s hit series “Stranger Things” and Disney+’s “Star Wars” spinoff “Andor” were notably shut out for acting categories, SAG-AFTRA recognized Paramount’s neo-Western series “Landman” and Netflix’s political thriller “The Diplomat.”

SAG-AFTRA’s highest honor, the Life Achievement Award, will be presented to actor and activist Harrison Ford for his outstanding contributions to the profession.

The awards also shine a significant spotlight on the stunt community, recognizing their dedication and courage. Actor Awards Committee Chair JoBeth Williams stated, “The stunt community represents some of the most dedicated and courageous artists in our profession. These performers quite literally put their bodies on the line to bring stories to life. We are incredibly proud to celebrate this year’s stunt nominees and shine a light on their extraordinary contributions.”
