Spidey-Verse Expands! 'Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man' S2 Drops Fall 2026, Unveiling Venom & Gwen Stacy!

Marvel Animation has officially announced that the second season of its popular animated series, “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man,” is set to premiere on Disney+ in fall 2026. This exciting news was revealed at New York Comic Con, where attendees were treated to an exclusive trailer offering a glimpse into what’s to come for Peter Parker.
The Season 2 trailer unveiled a host of significant developments, promising an action-packed continuation of the web-slinger’s adventures. Among the most anticipated introductions are the Venom symbiote, which was previously hinted at in the Season 1 finale, and the iconic character Gwen Stacy. Fans can also look forward to the return of Charlie Cox as Daredevil, reprising his role in the animated universe. Additionally, familiar faces such as Norman and Harry Osborn will make their comeback, alongside classic villains including Doctor Octopus, Chameleon, and Scorpion. The new season will also explore the emergence of Nico Minoru’s magical powers, adding another layer of intrigue to the narrative.
“Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man,” which originally debuted on Disney+ in early 2025, distinguishes itself from Tom Holland’s live-action Spider-Man in the MCU by existing in a separate, unique universe. This animated series presents several key differences in Peter Parker’s journey. Instead of being mentored by Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark, Peter is guided by Norman Osborn, voiced by Colman Domingo. This version of Norman is depicted as the CEO of Oscorp, offering Peter and his friends internships, though his true motives remain suspicious. Furthermore, Peter's circle of friends deviates from the MCU's Mary Jane and Ned, with new companions like the influencer Harry Osborn (Zeno Robinson) and the secret witchcraft practitioner Nico Minoru (Grace Song).
The series boasts an impressive voice cast, with Hudson Thames lending his voice to Peter Parker. Colman Domingo portrays Norman Osborn, Zeno Robinson voices Harry Osborn, and Grace Song takes on the role of Nico Minoru. The cast also includes Eugene Byrd as a young Tombstone, Hugh Dancy as Otto Octavius, and the returning Charlie Cox as Daredevil. Kari Wahlgren voices Aunt May, Aleks Le is Amadeus Cho, and Jonathan Medina portrays the villainous Scorpion. Robert Atkin Downes also lends his voice to Doctor Strange, who played a crucial role in Season 1.
Season 1 concluded with several compelling cliffhangers that are expected to influence the upcoming season. Doctor Strange assisted Spider-Man in a battle against an alien Venom symbiote that arrived from another dimension. In a significant twist, Norman Osborn was secretly seen retaining a piece of the symbiote for his own experiments, hinting at a darker future. Adding to the drama, it was revealed that Peter’s father, Richard, who was presumed dead, is actually alive and imprisoned, setting the stage for emotional and potentially dangerous revelations in Season 2.
