Canadian Power forward Andrew Nicholson (206-PF-1989) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Korea Gas Corporation, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 43.
The 35-year old player had a double-double of 35 points and 12 rebounds, while his team in a lost game to LG Sakers (#2, 31-18) 81-85. KoGas maintains the 5th position in South Korean KBL. KoGas is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. But it was their 25th lost game this season out of 49 games. In the team's last game Nicholson had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. It's his second year at KoGas and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Former St. Bonaventure University star has very solid stats this year. Nicholson is in league's top in points (3rd best: 21.1ppg), rebounds (9th best: 8.4rpg) and averages impressive 51.2% FGP and 42.8% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was young Filipino Kevin Quiambao (193-SF-2001) of

Sono Skygunners. Quiambao had a very good evening with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Bad luck as Skygunners lost that game 84-93 to the higher-ranked Anyang (#6, 22-27). Sono SG managed to keep the same 9th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 16-32 record. Quiambao is a newcomer at Sono SG, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.1ppg (#6). His other stats are also decent: 6.7rpg and 4.4apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-C-1992) of league's second-best

Changwon LG Sakers. Marei showcased his all-around game by recording 13 points, 13 rebounds (!!!) and 6 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Sakers, leading his team to a 85-81 win against the lower-ranked KoGas (#5, 24-25). LG Sakers needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 31 victories and 18 lost games. Marei has a great season in South Korea. After 35 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 13.1rpg (#1 in league) and assists with 4.5apg (7th best).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
