The youth leaders of the 179 communities in Anambra State have declared their support for Governor Chukwuma Soludo, pledging to give him total votes across the 179 communities of the state in the November 8, 2025, governorship election.
The youth made this declaration through the President General of the Anambra State Association of Town Unions, Youth Wing, Ken Okoli, in his address during the maiden edition of the leadership training workshop held at the ASATU Hall, Government House, Awka, on Sunday.
The two-day workshop, themed ‘The role of ASATU youth in deepening and consolidating leadership, security, governance and value systems for community development’, was organised by ASATU in collaboration with the office of the Accountant-General of Local Government and the Industrial Training Fund.
Okoli said the workshop was in line with the ‘Solution Agenda’ of Soludo’s administration,” adding that the policies and priorities of the state government consistently reflected an unwavering commitment to youth empowerment and transformation.
According to him, Anambra youths had never had it this good, as the present administration has placed them at the very core of its developmental blueprint.
He said, “All the programmes of Mr Governor are geared to the human capital development of the youths. Starting from the launch of the ‘1Youth-2Skills’ initiative to the massive employment of doctors and nurses, employment of teachers, building of the ‘Solution Fun City’, etc., youth remains at the centre of Mr Governor’s achievements.
“Under Soludo’s administration, communities in Anambra State have witnessed real development. From the construction of hospitals, schools, and the dual-lane road project on most major roads. We also commend his decisive action in tackling insecurity.
“The youth across the state will rise to their civic responsibilities to come out en masse and vote for Mr Governor on November 8, 2025, to change the narrative. This is a golden time for them to play their part in building a greater Anambra under the Soludo administration.”
The event organised by Ken Okoli-led ASATU Youth was also graced by the Deputy Governor of the state, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim; the Anambra State House of Assembly member representing Anaocha II Constituency, Sir Ejike Okechukwu; State Commissioner for Lands, Prof. Offornze Amucheazi (SAN); and Social Development Specialist, Chudi Mojekwu, among others.
The highlight of the training was the visit to the New Government House and the Solution Fun City.
