Sky-High Expansion: Air Tanzania Launches New West African Routes

Air Tanzania has achieved a significant regulatory milestone, officially receiving its Validated Foreign Air Operator Certificate (VFAOC) from the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA). This crucial approval grants the airline the necessary authorization to launch scheduled flights connecting Dar es Salaam and Accra, marking a pivotal moment in its ambitious strategy to expand its operational footprint across the West African region. The acquisition of the Ghanaian VFAOC comes shortly after Air Tanzania inaugurated its service to Lagos, Nigeria, further solidifying its commitment to building a robust pan-African network.
