Shockwaves as Regina Daniels Accuses Ned Nwoko of Beatings, Senator Fires Back with Drug Claims

A disturbing marital dispute between popular Nollywood actress Regina Daniels and her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, has captivated public attention following a viral video depicting Daniels in distress, alleging domestic violence. The video, which circulated widely on social media platforms like X, showed Daniels visibly distraught, shouting, "Not again, I can't stand the violence, it is too much" and asserting, "In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing, but in my own house, I am a Queen." She appeared to be on the verge of fainting, surrounded by concerned individuals, including a woman believed to be her sister, and men seemingly ready to intervene, one even holding what appeared to be a stick.

Senator Ned Nwoko, responding to the allegations, released a statement on his social media handles, attributing his wife’s outburst and erratic behavior to drug and alcohol addiction. In his statement, titled ‘Regina’s Unprovoked Carnage And Rampage In My House And In My Absence,’ Nwoko expressed concern for Regina’s life and safety, claiming her substance abuse struggles are the root of their marital problems. He alleged that Regina has been violent, slapping and hitting three staff members and destroying property, including cars and windows. Nwoko stated that he urged his wife to enter a rehabilitation facility in Asokoro, Abuja, or abroad in Jordan, where she would not have access to drugs. However, he claimed Regina refused and instead relocated to an undisclosed location to easily obtain substances.

The lawmaker also accused two individuals, Sammy (identified as Regina’s brother, Ojeogwu Samuel Danhillman) and a person named Ann, of supplying drugs to the actress. He cited an incident where a nurse allegedly exposed Regina’s drug use, leading to chaos at home. Nwoko emphasized that his other wives have never accused him of violence, implying that Regina is the instigator of conflict due to her alleged addiction. He highlighted that a "clear headed regina would have taken Moon (the couple’s son) to the hospital," contrasting her behavior with his own actions.

Social media reactions have been divided. While some users, like @L_victor014 and @okaforu22, supported Nwoko’s claims, with one recalling prior rumors of Regina’s alleged drug use, others were critical. @TaraBlinkz questioned why Nwoko waited for a public fight to address drug abuse, calling it a "marriage failure in real-time." Similarly, @HiikyaaTor criticized Nwoko for publicly disclosing his wife's alleged struggles, suggesting it was a "big low" for a man who claims to love his wife and questioning if he sought public sympathy instead of taking responsibility.

Adding another layer to the controversy, Regina’s brother, Ojeogwu Samuel Danhillman (Sammy West), posted an angry message on his Instagram story, directly accusing Senator Ned Nwoko of beating his sister and smashing her head against a wall. He pledged to "fight with my blood" against anyone who beats a woman, asserting, "Senator Ned Nwoko, you get luck say after you beat my sister again, smash her head for wall, you wan comot send thugs! I swear I for burst all your jaw." This strong counter-accusation from Regina's brother escalates the severity of the allegations.

The couple’s union has long been a subject of public scrutiny due to their significant 40-year age gap; Regina was 19 when she married Nwoko, who was 59. Nwoko is a polygamous man with six wives, with Regina being the youngest. This incident follows a much lighter post by the actress on her birthday in October, where she shared a story about misplacing and replacing her wedding ring. Regina Daniels, 25, rose to fame as a child actress and has two children with Senator Nwoko.
