Gillian Anderson starred as Constance Van Ness, a wealthy matriarch seeking to expand her land, clashing with Fiona Nolan (Lena Headey), a widowed Irish immigrant who raises a family of orphans while protecting her land.

Tensions quickly escalated when Fiona’s adopted daughter Dahlia (Diana Silvers) clashed with Constance’s son Willem (Toby Hemingway), resulting in his death at the hands of the Nolan family—a pivotal act that set the stage for a brewing conflict.
