Bollywood actor Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor’s daughter Shanaya Kapoor has been waiting to make her much-awaited debut in the Hindi entertainment industry with Vikrant Massey starrer Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan. As netizens await more updates about the upcoming film, she recently sat down for an interview with Elle, leaving the internet buzzing with excitement. Currently waiting to start shooting for her upcoming films, Tu Yaa Main and JC, she recalled a fangirl moment.

When asked if she had a fangirl moment with a celebrity on the set, Kapoor recalled that it was with Ranveer Singh and that she had met him on the sets of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. However she did hint that she would like to work with him. Quoted by News18, she said, “Yes, I have. Unfortunately, it was not my set. Very sad about that. It was Rocky Aur Rani set where I met Ranveer Singh. But, you guys never know, I might be doing a film and I’ll be on my set.”

The video had surfaced on the internet on the subreddit Bolly Blinds N Gossips with the caption, “Shananaya might debut with Ranveer, you all never know.” As soon as the video went viral, netizens took to the comment section of the post to share their thoughts. One wrote, “that's a threat to Ranveer and any other actor she "works" with.” Another wrote, “No she’ll debut in 2050 with Ranveer’s son.” One commented, “she speaks like a 5th grade kid lmao and what’s up with those lips.”
It is to be noted that it was earlier announced that the 25-year-old actress will be making her much-awaited Bollywood debut with Karan Johar’s film Bedhadak, co-starring Kill fame Lakshya and Gurfateh Pirzada. The filmmaker had even made a grand announcement about it in 2022. However, the film was later shelved. Sharing about the entire ordeal, Maheep has explained how Shanaya was left “traumatised” after the film was canned.
It was then reported that she would be making her acting debut alongside superstar Mohanlal for the Malayalam film Vrushabha. However, even that film was delayed by several months. Now Kapoor is all set to make her Hindi entertainment industry debut with Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan. The film is scheduled for release on July 11, 2025. There has been a lot of discussion surrounding her impending Bollywood debut, as whichever project she has announced has gotten shelved.
On the work front, Shanaya Kapoor will next start shooting for Adarsh Gourav, co-starrer survival thriller film Tu Yaa Main.
