Lambwe Forest Revived After Ethnic Feud and Arson

Lake Victoria South Water Works Development Agency (LVSWDA) officials and residents of Lambwe East Location in Mbita Sub-county are collaborating on a reforestation project in Lambwe Forest. This initiative aims to restore the forest following damage caused by ethnic conflict in Homa Bay County, according to James Omoro of the Standard.

The intense tree-planting exercise by LVSWDA seeks to revitalize the forest, which spans Ndhiwa and Mbita sub-counties and has suffered from fires that destroyed numerous trees.
