Well, just as Rawal in a recent interview revealed that he left the project just because he didn’t feel like doing it anymore, netizens have began to speculate if the entire ordeal is a PR gimmick, hinting at the upcoming film’s plot or storyline. Questioning the alleged fight between Akshay and Paresh, a section of the internet expressed their disbelief as they share a good bond off-screen, having worked together in many movies.

On Tuesday, after media publications reported that Akshay’s production house is suing the veteran actor, netizens expressed their disbelief on the subbreddit Bolly Blinds N Gossip. They claimed that the news seems made up as the Rs 25 crore is a huge sum of amount. One wrote, “Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar are not stupid. They have been in the industry for 30+ years. And they are thorough professionals. Even if there was a case, it would not be in public this fast. These are just for PRs.”

Another wrote, “Now we will get a news article saying how Sunil Shetty has decided to help Paresh Rawal pay 25 crores, but he only has 10 crores. They need to arrange 15 crores more anyhow. Next day they would announce they have come up with a plan to arrange 15 crores, but for that we will have to watch: PHIR HOGI HERA PHERI.” Other one stated, “Sounds too farfetched. Just milking the publicity and then they will do an announcement playing on this idea of the reported tension. Paisa ka chakkar dialogue loading.”

Paresh rawal ka boycott kro
Agar ni kr hera pheri 3 unki marji unka choice

Lekin agar ye publicity stunt rha logo ko bewkuf banane ka zariya rha h apne niji swarth movie pramotion ka hissa rha

Sharing his disbelief on the 69-year-old actor’s abrupt exit from the film, the filmmaker told Bombay Times, “I started it (the third part), and all of a sudden, he backed out. He hasn’t given me any explanation. I'm hurt. Paresh was like a family and he is not giving me any explanation why he has done it. So, without getting his explanation he says that he has nothing against me and he respects me, and there are no creative differences – all those things here. But I am really hurt. I don't know what the conspiracy behind it is.”

For those who don’t know, the Hera Pheri franchise sees Akshay Kumar essay the role of Raju, Paresh Rawal as Baburao Ganpatrao Apte aka Babu Bhaiya and Suniel Shetty as Shyam. While Hera Pheri (2000) also starred Tabu and Gulshan Grover, the second installment of the film, Phir Hera Pheri (2006), co-starred Bipasha Basu, Rajpal Yadav and Rimi Sen in pivotal roles. The first installment was directed by Priyadarshan, whereas the second installment was directed by the late filmmaker Neeraj Vora. Priyadarshan returned to the franchise as a director for the third installment.
