'Sada Kaam Suffer Ho Gaya': Shakira's Wardrobe Malfunction Affects Diljit Dosanjh's Met Gala 2025 Entry- Watch - Entertainment
Met Gala 2025 became a special event this year for Indian celebrities as it marked the red carpet debut of Shah Rukh Khan, Kiara Advani, and Diljit Dosanjh. While they left the fans buzzing with excitement with their outfits and charming grace with which they owned the red carpet, the Punjabi musician certainly stood out with his Maharaja-inspired look. Known to be an avid social media user, he recently shared a behind-the-scenes vlog about his experience.
He shared a glimpse of his red carpet entry and the chaos that had ensued minutes before in his new vlog, which was uploaded on his YouTube channel. In the 13-minute 58-second video, he explains how his entry was affected due to Shakira’s wardrobe malfunction, since both stars were going to appear together on the red carpet. He explains how the zipper of her dress was broken, which she had to rectify at the last minute, causing a delay in his schedule.
Diljit is heard saying, “Shakira ki emergency ki wajah se sada kaam suffer ho gaya. But it is okay. Hips don't lie, and she doesn't lie (laughs).” He jokingly asks, “They’re not taking us to the main area. All the action is happening backstage. Take us to the stage! I guess Shakira’s dress zipper broke... that’s why we’re late. I knew we’d be late because of Shakira.”
It is to be noted that both the celebrities were styled by designer Prabal Gurung. For the occasion, the 41-year-old actor wore an ivory flowing kurta-tehmat set, a traditional Sikh turban, and a cape adorned with Gurumukhi script. He completed his look with a sword and layered jewellery. His outfit paid homage to Patiala’s Maharaja Bhupinder Singh.
Talking about his outfit, the caption along with Diljit Dosanjh’s video read, “This moment is not just mine — it belongs to every kid from a pind, every artist who dared to dream, and every heart that carries its roots with pride. Wearing my culture on one of the world’s biggest stages was an honour.”
