Zelda Williams has once again publicly called for an immediate halt to the circulation of AI-generated videos featuring her late father, the esteemed actor Robin Williams. Her latest fervent plea was issued on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, September 21, 2026, in response to a specific "supposedly 'private video'" that purportedly showed her father discussing various conspiracies. Williams emphatically stated that the video is "clearly AI, and not even particularly convincing AI."

Expressing deep frustration and disappointment, Zelda Williams critiqued the quality of the AI content, remarking that anyone who genuinely believes it to be authentic must have "listened to his movies on mute because that voice is robotic and terrible." She directed a stern message to the creators and disseminators of such content, urging them to "leave him out of your delusional bullshit and let him rest." Furthermore, she challenged their integrity, asking, "If you cannot make your case without making a dead man make it more convincing for you, then tell me: who’s the one manipulating the public thru media now?" Williams also voiced her disdain for the social media platform itself, labeling it a "cesspool" largely populated by bots and individuals willingly duped by them, yet felt compelled to clarify due to her love for her father, asserting, "Just because he’s gone does not mean he’s now your puppet.
